This week is shaping up to be about as busy as last week, although much more gaming obsession than hanging out with friends this week. jfrands and littlefr0g stayed over Saturday night, and they are now safely back home out east. The Greengrass Gaming Festival is likely to keep me busy the majority of the weekend.

Fair warning to those who frequent Cardhaus on the weekends: I hear that not only is there the local gaming con but there is also a Magic tournament this weekend so it is going to be scary in there...

Taking a cue from another LJ friend...

Dear AOL/Time Warner:

I realize that you are a mega-corporation concerned only with the domination of all media markets, making tons of money by manipulation of stock prices, and covering executive ass. I would request, however, than when you are in the business of mailing TRASH to every house in America even knowing that far less than 1% of people will install your stupid software, much less actually subscribe to AOL, *please* make it recyclable. Sending a solid metal case for your CD instead of a recyclable paper jacket is totally irresponsible. Better yet, don't mail CDs in the first damn place which contain toxic materials and simply assume the majority of people who don't use AOL aren't remotely interested in a sanitized version of the Internet. AOL users will have it installed on their pre-packaged PC already.
