One of the few nice things about living alone is getting to eat and watch whatever the heck you want at pretty much any time. Had pancakes and fresh fruit for dinner and watched The 13th Warrior (again). I'm not a violent person or particularly gung-ho about war, but there is just something about Vikings (at least from a fantasy perspective) that is captivating. Historically, they mostly made a living raiding other towns and generally being pirates, but still they have a purity and passion about living life to it's fullest. Even their idea of heaven is carnage followed by copulation 24/7. Buliwyf in the movie clearly gets an e-ticket to Vahalla for climbing out of his death-bed to kill the leader of the baddies, then dies sitting up facing them as they flee... Tip to the wise: anytime Vikings skip a chance to drink and party, there is trouble brewing.

Weekend is quiet, although I'm managing to keep it mostly busy. Worked last Friday night getting a head start on bug-fixes for our lock-down week next week, and spent today gaming. It was amusing, and certainly a cheap way to spend 10 hours. The only really nice thing you can say about the Cardhaus space is that it is free, but today was not a stellar day at the store. Too damn many Magic players and the bathroom had an unpleasant odor about it. Going to Dim Sum with some friends tomorrow and down to Tacoma to a pagan discussion group to round out the weekend. The rest of the week will be spent getting ready for Gamestorm and probably longish days at work...
