Norwescon

Had a good time at Norwescon, spending Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening and all day Sunday there. Meet a lot of new faces, made some new friends, and hopefully I'll see some of the 'meet once briefly in the hall' folks again at Westercon and get to know a few more of them. Highlights include meeting jeliza and S.O.s, the Merchants of Deva room party, having a great time dancing til 3am Saturday night, spending a few hours being kidnapped and brainwashed by hanging out with the Cult of Scott Bakula ("His career died for your sins!"), deftly *avoiding* the Klingon Karaoke and scary gamer types, having a fairly hot girl get really excited and hug me because I happened to be carrying Chapstick for her use--something I've not had happen in 20-something years of carrying Chapstick at all times--and generally blowing a lot of money eating out and seeing a lot of scantily clad women (most of whom fell into the "I bought my costume at Hot Topic" category, and a lot of "naughty little Catholic school-girl outfits").

All in all, good times. Have a two day workweek ahead of me and then a trip back to Austin, which will hopefully be fun as well...
