GDC Day 2
Tuesday was our Microsoft Developer Day, where I gave two talks. The rest of the time I was trying to catch the NVidia/ATI tutorial on Direct3D, which either by design or accident was at the exact same time as our own. The most annoying part is that we were on the opposite end of the convention center, which made for a lot of running back and forth.
The evening was another blur of parties, receptions, expensive dinners, and avoiding people who wanted to get my drunk. The Autodesk party was a scaled down version of our Microsoft party last year, and it again took nearly two hours of open bar before anyone but the paid dancers danced. It was a good time. My preference for dancing is to be in a room with good music, pretty girls, and not a soul who knows my name...
