Wow, this seems as creepy as a Tleiaxu axoltl tank from Dune. This woman has been pregnant for how many years of her life?
I'm thinking it is less the Lord wants to give them more as the fact that a typical female human can physically keep getting pregnant and giving birth until she dies trying. She's either the healthiest woman on the planet or a wreck after birthing 16 children. Using pregnancy as one's only form of birth-control seems kinda "dark-ages" to me. I just hope her children don't decide to emulate her.
