E3 Downtime
I've managed to miss just about every show related party event. I don't have the contacts to get invites myself, the Microsoft party was Monday night before I arrived, and frankly I don't care about drinking to bother with all the pain of scamming into a party without an invite. Not a big deal, but I wouldn't have minded a bit of dancing with fellow 'white boy dancers'.
Talking with a local, I got the suggestion to see Revenge of the Sith at the Arclight Hollywood. Naturally the digital projection showings are all sold out for the week, but I did get a ticket for the regular show. Hopefully there will be a good fanbase there at the time I'm there.
Oh, I don't sleep particularly well in hotels and I've been struggling to get to sleep the past few nights. Last night someone pulled the fire alarm at 5am. After 23 flights of stairs and sitting around blearly eyed for 15 minutes while they reset the false alarm, I had trouble getting back to sleep. Ass. Unlike Lost in Translation there wasn't a cute 20-something blonde to chat with while waiting. Maybe if I had been in Japan... and was Bill Murry.
