walbourn | New Year's Eve

Been a good new year's 5-day weekend so far. I took Thursday and today off work and spent yesterday at the New Year's Eve of Loser Fun convention. I'll be returning tomorrow and Sunday. Ironically--and perhaps for the best--the only day of the con I plan not to attend is New Year's Eve.

Slept in this morning after a late night of gaming fun, did some housework for the first time a few weeks, and did the monthly bills. Had a pleasant phone conversation with

rose_water, and heard stories of a tremendously depressing family Christmas visit. Poor girl. Sounds like she is doing pretty well in general despite the holiday encounter. Dropped by

jeliza's place of employment for a late lunch and a short visit. All in all, a nice relaxing day.

I should really get off my butt and bake some cookies for tonight's

nerdvana party though.
