GenCon Indy Day 4
I made it to my flight just fine, but now my connecting flight is delayed--only an hour they claim--and I'm writing from an online cafe in the Detroit airport. Just more training for my business travel I suppose :>
Didn't spend much time at the convention today, instead sleeping in and then going to lunch with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
hackard and another friend from the old college days. It has been a pleasant low-key day so far, but I'd really rather be getting home sooner than later.
Overall, I have had a really good time at GenCon and will try to make it next year as well. It seems likely I'll miss GenCon SoCal due to a work conflict, and the RPGA isn't even telling us where the hell they are holding Winter Fantasy this year. It was traditionally held in Fort Wayne, IN, but they tried moving it to New Jersey last year. For some reason, the attendance wasn't so good--I cancelled my plans to attend when I realized it was a six+ hour flight each way and therefore would require two extra days of vacation to make it.
The next few weeks at work should be quiet with so much of my group off to London and Tokyo, and then my boss is going on an extended vacation. I think I'm happy to skip the round-the-world trip this time around :>
