It seems that since I didn't have my Windows server box on the Internet during setup--which was needed to keep it from being infected by virus and worms a plenty before being properly patched--that the setup wizard decided to set up a bunch of network settings that don't work outside the scope of a private network. So, after manually reconfiguring DNS, DHCP, ICS, and a few network settings I finally have it all working again...
